Assalaamu'alaikum wr wb,

On behalf of IMAAM Board of Trustee and Executive Committee, we wish you, your families, and your loved ones a blessed Ramadan 1429 H. Our motto and goals for this year Ramadan: "Reach the month of Ramadan by purifying our soul, spreading peace, and strengthening brotherhood". Let's try our best to achieving these.
IMAAM and Musholla KBRI along with other Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations in Greater DC area (CCMO) members will follow Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA) decision on the first day of Ramadan and Eid-Ul-Fitr. Based on their careful and scientific decision:

1st day of Ramadan will be on Monday, September 1, 2008
1st day of Shawwal will be on Wednesday, October 1, 2008

Based on a selection and review process conducted by IMAAM members including parents and teachers, the Board of Trustee members have come to a decision that Br. Muhammad Tenriola is again serving as IMAAM Madrasah Principal for the 2008-2009 school year term.

General Information Assalamu'alaikum wr.wb.

Bismillahirrahmaani rrahiim,

Brothers and Sisters,
as you all know, IMAAM is in the process of applying Use Permit for
IMAAM Center. IMAAM Center is a combined property owned by IMAAM
located at 1611 Veirs Mill Rd, Rockville, MD. The process was delayed
because the City of Rockville issued a moratorium (temporary hold) in
November 2006 for any use permit in Rockville, and it will be ending
(insya Allah) in August 2008.

Tucked within Rock Creek Regional Park in Montgomery County, Maryland, Lathrop E. Smith Environmental Center nestles amongst tall trees; awaiting the eager participants of an outdoor adventure. After a weekend sojourn in Virginia in 2007, IMAAM has gone back to its roots having hosted its annual Summer Camp at the center since its inception in 1998. This is the second year the new IMAAM Youth Department has taken controls of the coordination process for summer camp since the department’s start in 2006. With new directors, Al Asikin and Sherif Kadir, and a new team leading the way, the summer camp is the department’s primary big venture for their first year as leaders of the young department.
